Steve is passionate about teaching vocalists from the perspective of a piano accompanist and jazz pianist. You will be taught essential vocalist communication skills (that your accompanist and entire band will appreciate) such as: proper chord quality names, interval and note identification, lead sheet form and arrangement, rhythm concepts such as drum vocalizing and phrasing, melodic alteration and jazz improvisation. In demand around the globe, Steve Myerson recently released his second trio album “Ready or Not” recorded live at Birdland in NYC. His first recording “In Your Absence”was featured on WXPN’s “Blues and Beyond” show and was nominated for Hollywood Music In Media award. Myerson’s recent and/or current projects include a nearly decade-long residence touring with legendary Philadelphia-soul band The Stylistics, a nationwide Walmart commercial featuring Aretha Franklin, and professorships teaching Intro to Music Technology at Passaic County Community College and jazz piano at William Paterson University.
